Then when we got there I went to go look at the Māori arts and Poi I was about to get one but Cohen said “look there’s walky talkys” so i got the walkie talkies and he only had enough money to get one battery.
After that we went to Countdown to get school lunch and whatever we wanted . Then when we got back home my Dad got his screwdriver and put the battery in the walkie talkies when he left I started eating the cupcakes he told us not to eat in a whole day but we ate a full pack and there was one more left then when it was bedtime and I went to bed so that was my holiday.

This week is te Wiki o te Reo Māori, which is Māori Language Week. We as a whānau are celebrating it because it is a very important week for Māori.Image result for maori flag

So this morning, we went to the hall and sat on the stage. Sumuree was the kaikaranga for the manuhiri and Whaea Lee was the kaikaranga who welcomed them in. Papa T, Whaea Lees husband, was our kaikorero and our kaikarakia. We

stood up and did our himene, which was He Honore, Papa did his whaikorero and gave him a waiata tautoko.

There was this man (Matua Jamie Wall) who stood up and talked about himself and his mahi. He also spoke about rugby with the Kapa o Pango. Whaea Rhonda stood up and presented the certificates to others. Then all the classes went back to there rooms the manuhiri stood up and went to the back of the room to grab them a kai to eat. Then we did one more waiata and haka and when to eat there were Apples, Grapes, Oranges, Biscuits, Rewana bread and Milk and coffee for the adults we also had chocolate which there was no more cause the year six and the year fives had to be at the back for the teina and the kootiro then when we left we started talking about what we're doing for Maaori language week we are really busy this week practicing and teaching.

Nga mihi ka kite ano.
We as a whānau are celebrating it because it is a very important week for Māori.

I did a tukutuku panel thats called Porourangi . The colours I added to my tukutuku panel is Orange,Blue,Red, Yellow and Black I used orange for Ruamoko which is the god of volcanoes I used blue for Tangaroa cause he is the god or the sea red and black I used for tumatauenga and the yellow I used for Tama-nui-te-ra then we started doing presentations and I was doing a presentation about this.

Art Project

Name:Uenuku

In term 2 we started a maori art I have named mine Uenuku/Rainbow cause i have used different types of colours we did this with our reliever named Whaea Ariana She drew the picture and she wanted us to colour it in Leon was the presenter of this project so I used these colours and I put them in because.

Blue represents Tangaroa which is the god of the sea.

Purple is my sister's favourite colour.

Green is for Tane Mahuta Who is the god of the Forest.

Red is for the god of war which is Tumatauenga.

Orange is for Ruamoko which is the god of volcanoes.

And golden and black is for the outlining

This term sometime we started doing art about Mokomoko. First our teacher named Whaea Ariana started drawing it and then she made copies of it. Then we started colouring it in I used these colours cause I saw this other person’s one and it was amazing. I tried to copy but i didn't come the way I wanted it to. Then when we finished you can see at the top it says kaitiakitanga which means guardian. Then when we finished we put them on the table for the next day.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1504607760321872441.post-50954164349749298162019-08-20T16:05:00.001-07:002019-08-20T16:05:32.785-07:00
